A Quick Peek at our Service
-
We are assembling a dynamic team of Adventure Guides who are passionate about the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway in unique ways. We specialize in different areas and bring our own perspectives on why this river should be shared and protected. Together, we can engage in discussions on various topics, including history and culture, sport fishing, river ecology, plant identification, foraging, and sound and visual arts. Regardless of our individual knowledge and experiences, we all share a deep and meaningful connection to this place and are excited to share it with you.
-
This is an option for those interested in experiencing the river in their own way and at their own pace. We rent by the trip, not by the hour, so enjoy your time. This is also an excellent option for folks camping on the river.
-
We are passionate hikers and bikers, and Paddlefish Adventures wouldn’t be complete without supporting those who share our enthusiasm. Don’t waste your vacation time moving cars; let us handle the driving for you.
-
Did you know the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway has beautiful first-come, first-served campsites all up and down the river? We are happy to arrange custom pick-up times for those looking to overnight. Be sure to get your camping permit [camping permit link can be found in the footer].

WE PROVIDE TRAIL SUPPORT
Paddlefish Adventures is conveniently located just a few blocks south of the Trail’s western terminus at Interstate State Park in St. Croix Falls. The Ice Age Trail stretches east through 30 counties, ending at the eastern terminus in Potawatomi State Park in Sturgeon Bay. This trail is entirely within Wisconsin and is one of only eleven National Scenic Trails. We offer trail support services for the entire route.
No park pass required.
Our headquarters are at the starting point of the Gandy Dancer State Trail in St. Croix Falls. This trail connects St. Croix Falls to several communities, including Centuria, Milltown, Luck, Frederic, Lewis, Siren, Webster, and Danbury. Located on a former railroad corridor, the trail is generally flat and wheelchair accessible. It features 47 miles of hard-packed crushed limestone, making it ideal for non-motorized activities. People enjoy hiking, running, geocaching, setting personal goals, and training for events on this scenic trail. We offer trail support services for the entire route.
A park pass is required and can be purchased at the Polk County Information Center, conveniently located across the street from the Visitor Service building for Paddlefish Adventures.
