This trip offers a fun experience for paddlers. The first half of the river is flat and windy as it meanders through the woods, where you'll need to navigate around a few fallen trees. At the halfway point, you'll pass under the Church Road bridge, and the river will begin to pick up speed, featuring small rocky rapids on its way to Star Prairie. This trip is an excellent introduction to rapid paddling, and we recommend it to those who enjoy active paddling as they maneuver around obstacles and ride through quick water sections. The rapids range from Class 0.5 to Class 1, depending on the water level.
