Here’s the Peel Folks!
Join us on Saturday, August 15th, for the most legendary river clean-up of the year! The St. Croix River is the summer playground for paddlers, swimmers, campers, tubers, and anglers alike—but it needs heroes like you! Grab a canoe (for two!) and join your fellow bananas as you drift downstream, flexing your garbage-hunting muscles and snatching up litter like aquatic ninjas. Prizes await for the Best Dressed, Weirdest Trash Find, and Most Garbage Collected.
Why Bananas?
Why bananas, you ask? Imagine a bunch of bright yellow bananas drifting down the river—it’s as eye-catching as a neon sign! Just like fish are drawn to flashy lures, people can’t help but notice a fleet of bananas in action. Seeing humans in banana costumes paddling along the shoreline is hilarious, grabs attention, and gets more people excited to help keep our river clean. And honestly, sometimes being funny is reason enough.
